Different Steps of Lasik laser Surgery

Basically consists of three steps, the Lasik Laser surgical procedures is acknowledged to be one of the most admired vision correction procedures since its FDA approval in the year 1995.  Laser-assisted in situ Keratomileusis or Lasik surgery can be categorized into blade-free Lasik and blade Lasik surgery.

The first step of Lasik surgery is the creation of flap, which can be done by using high-density laser or a microkeratome blade.  If the blade is used for the purpose of creating flap then the procedure is called as blade Lasik laser surgery.

Moreover, if a high-density beam of the laser is used for creating the flap in the center of the cornea of the eye, then the procedure is called as blade-free Lasik laser surgical procedures. The second step in the Lasik laser surgery is reshaping of the cornea of the eye.

The cornea of the eye can be precisely reshaped by using an advanced beam of laser lights. Different types of eye problems such as nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism can be easily corrected through the effective reshaping of the cornea by using advanced & precise laser beams.

Basically, the wavelength EX500 is laser beam that is used in the reshaping of the cornea in the most organized manner.  To produce an excellent result, precise set of laser beams are used in Lasik laser procedures. During the Lasik laser vision correction procedures, the numbing drops are applied. After application of numbing drop, the team of experienced eye surgeons creates flaps by using a blade or blade-free Lasik laser procedures as it was discussed.

The flap is sealed by the doctors, after the reshaping through high-density laser beams, which take around 5 to 10 minutes. Under the supervision of experienced eye surgeons and support staff, the whole Lasik eye correction procedures take around 1 to 2 hours.

Usually, it takes about 24 to 48 hours for the patients after the Lasik eye surgical procedures to recover to improved vision. To protect the eye from unwanted exposures, the eye after surgical is usually cover with thin & clear plastic shield, which is kept for around 8 to 10 hours.

After the surgery, the patients may suffer from increased tearing. In addition to this, the patients may experience scratchiness with high sensitivity to light. Some patients also complain about blurry or fluctuating vision.
It takes sometimes about one or two weeks for the eye to stabilize the change caused due to the reshaping of the cornea. Known for its effectiveness and no stitches, the Lasik Treatment Delhi is extremely popular as compared to traditional eye correction procedures that were prevalent before the invention of Lasik laser vision improvement surgery.
